We do not choose the horses, and welcome any horse in any condition when law enforcement needs help. We receive no funds at all for removing horses with law enforcement in attendance, or for the long term care (usually 1 to 3 years) required to rehabilitate the horse physically and mentally so that it can be a dependable mount for an adopter. If a horse cannot be rehabilitated completely due to injury or severe mental trauma, it can remain as a resident at Horse-Angels and be a help in educating the public. All horses, if healthy and content, may remain a resident until adopted, unless suffering with chronic pain or disease. Our founder is a veterinarian and donates her services and medications for as long as a horse remains comfortable and happy. Adoptedtable horses are all fully trained as trail ready mounts. Those that are born here as a result of a pregnant mare being one of our rescues, are handled and fully trained before adoption at age 3 or above.

Horse-Angels receives no funds from the law enforcement groups we aid, and our state views horses as agricultural animals and not companion animals; therefore, we receive no county, state, or federal funds, and exist strictly on donations from area residents and businesses...

We currently house 50 horses.
