Jolene is a very special rescue.  Pulled from the local kill pen at 7 years old, she had multiple soundness issues including canker, white line disease and laminitis in all four feet.  Four trips to Cornell and a team of volunteers have got the canker gone, the White line under control.  Of course the laminitis did some permanant damage and we cannot say that Jolene will ever be sound for any kind of work.  She is pasture sound, however, and a more loving personality you will never find.  She adores neck scratches and demands everyone's attention.  She would love a family of her own!
